Business units get extended

Up to now HUSS has been well-known for retrofitting Diesel Particulate Filter Systems.

Besides HUSS Umwelttechnik GmbH in Germany, the systems are also successfully sold in Switzerland by HUSS Umwelttechnik AG and in the USA by HUSS LLC. This business unit will also in the future be an important tower of strength for success and growth. For this reason it gets strengthened by enlarging the staff team.

The approved concept of “sales and service“ carried on by the own company team will be advanced further on.

But time doesn`t stand still, therefore, all companies and business units are lead together under the roof of the HUSS Group.

Green sticker and General Operating Licence (ABE) opens new business fields in German Low Emission Zones (LEZ)

Just-in-time to the opening of the IAA Commercial Vehicles, HUSS has received the General Operating Licence (ABE) 17168 by the German Federal Motor Transport Authorityfor its MD system. Therefore this system is officially released to be installed.

At the Technical Inspection Agency (TÜV) enrolment of the filter, the vehicle gets the desired green sticker meaning unlimited access to the Low Emission Zones.

Apart from the already known certifications for HUSS filter systems, this is another mark of quality for HUSS products and an enlargement for the retrofit business of the HUSS Group.

Own production of mufflers and LPS-SiC

The companies Metpela Oy, in Finland, and CleanDieselCeramics GmbH, in Germany, are the production entities of the HUSS Group.

Since 1964, Metpela Oy is the specialist for production and development of mufflers, canning technique and 3D pipe bending. Metpela, specialised in off-road and heavy-duty applications, belongs now to the HUSS Group.

The CleanDieselCeramics GmbH is responsible for production and development of LPS-SiC ceramics for Diesel Particulate Filters. This filter material complies especially with the necessities of off-road and heavy-duty vehicles due to its robustness and long lifetime.

By manufacturing basic elements of a modern exhaust system, both production entities entitle the HUSS Group as a real manufacturer and specialist in the branch.

New business unit for the development of new systems and for OEM customers

The HUSS Technologies GmbH in Germany is the latest member of the HUSS Group.

The mission of this company is on the one hand, the development of new systems for exhaust aftertreatment and, on the other, the extension of the HUSS Group OEM business. Development cooperation, comprehensive and modern test equipment and professional support for the OEM customers belong to the performance profile of the company.

Reinforcement of board and sales managements

“Yearly growth rates of more than 45% are only possible with a powerful team”, explains Dr. Thomas Rahn, the CEO of the HUSS Group. “Therefore we have enhanced every business unit”.

Christoph von Both is the head of sales for the retrofit business in Germany and other export markets without a HUSS subsidiary.

Dr. Axel Lehmann is responsible for the OEM sales of the HUSS Technologies GmbH.

Due to the constant growth the management board has also been enlarged:

Dr. Hans-Jörg Rembor and Mr. Claus Holdschuh have been nominated as two further Managing Directors for HUSS Umwelttechnik GmbH, in Germany, and HUSS Technologies GmbH.

Dr. Rembor is responsible for the technical departments in both companies, Mr. Holdschuh, as CFO, for the administration of the HUSS Group.

Internet portal and new HUSS Magazine inform about activities of the group

The new internet portal www.hussgroup.com, which will be extended step by step, provides an overview about activities of the HUSS Group.

After this issue, the newsletter “HUSS update” gets a new concept. Beginning in January 2009, the HUSS Magazine will be published with news of all HUSS Group companies.

But one thing stays the same:
